Together with the Safe Internet program, the Agència de Ciberseguretat de Catalunya joins the European Month of Cybersecurity, an annual campaign dedicated to promoting cyber security among citizens and European organizations. During the four weeks of October, the Agència de Ciberseguretat de Catalunya is raising awareness through social networks around four key issues: updating the Edge, Safari, Firefox and Chrome browsers, ransomware, phishing and data theft.

Specifically, in the third week of October, the Agència de Ciberseguretat de Catalunya tackled phishing, the impersonation of the identity of a person, a company or a trusted service in order to get a selected person performs actions such as, for example, giving confidential information or clicking on a link with malicious content. In this sense, he shared advice, recommendations and strategies to avoid the possible effects of a specific attack: 'Vishing fraud', 'Fraudulent SMS', 'Stop Digital Fraud', 'The fake call trap from Microsoft', 'Email Compromise Fraud', 'What to do if your credit card has been compromised?', 'Phishing and online shopping', 'What can cybercriminals do with hijacked data?' and 'Frauds around the new Covid-19 vaccine'.
