Promoted by the Secretariat of Digital Policies of the Department of Business and Employment of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, on Thursday, July 9 and Friday, July 10, La Llotja de Mar, located at Passeig d'Isabel II, number 1, in the city of Barcelona, will host a new edition of the Space Economy Congress . The event will make Barcelona the center of the new social economy and will present the business opportunities provided by the aerospace sector and the new space economy in areas such as, for example, sustainability, new manufacturing systems, new business models, sustainable mobility or new investment opportunities. The Space Economy Congress 2026 will have more than twenty conferences, nearly fifty speakers and more than five hundred attendees. The event, which has adopted a new name that reflects the maturity of the sector: from 'New Space Economy Congress' to 'Space Economy Congress', will emphasize the real impact of space technologies and the role as strategic infrastructure. The name change will represent a change of focus: from experimentation to deployment, from growth to impact and from innovation to strategic infrastructure. The aim of the Space Economy Congress 2026 will be to continue positioning Catalonia as a leading space hub, reinforcing the commitment to internationalization and sectoral collaboration and offering new business opportunities and new visibility opportunities. In essence, the event will promote a resilient future hand in hand with climate intelligence, technological sovereignty and economic development.
