"Entrepreneurship is one of the main protagonists of our ICT Point. We could say that it is our distinguishing feature. Here, we take advantage of local talent and put it at the service of the public. Our work consists of providing infrastructure and a network so that innovative people can carry out training. Currently, for example, we have José Luis Hernández from Rompiendo la Brecha as our resident innovator. We have also collaborated with V-Tools or Tangencial. The truth is that we regularly carry out numerous collaborations with entities, associations and groups," says Joan Arcas, coordinator of the Co-Innova Sant Feliu ICT Point. With the help of the Sant Feliu de Llobregat City Council, the Co-Innova Sant Feliu ICT Point brings new technologies closer to the public and promotes digital training for young, medium and old people. "The profile of the people who approach the ICT Point is very diverse. Right now, we are focused on digital literacy for older people through the courses of the 'Més Digitals' program, but we do not have a specific audience and many people from Sant Feliu de Llobregat and the surrounding area come to participate in our activities," says Arcas.
"The 'Rompiendo la Brecha' project, which emerged at the end of 2023 as a result of a project we presented at the CitiLab in Cornellà, focuses on reducing the digital gap among the elderly. In the training sessions, we accompany them so that they learn to use a computer. We address issues such as, for example, how to connect to the Internet, how to set up their digital device at home, what programs are installed on their digital device or what are the basic uses of a computer," adds José Luis Hernández, promoter of the 'Rompiendo la Brecha' project. "In short, the Punt TIC Co-Innova Sant Feliu is a reference space around digital literacy, popular and well-known in the town and which becomes a key space for people who need it. Our proposals are diverse, from STEAM activities, artificial intelligence, maker culture or digital literacy. "Everyone is welcome," points out Arcas.
