Next Sunday, February 11, the International Girls in Science Day will be commemorated. The day will seek to promote scientific and technological vocations among teenagers and girls, as well as to have an impact on the gender gap and promote the creation of contemporary benchmarks. Along these lines, the International Women's Day will be commemorated next Friday, March 8. This year, it is expected that this will be a decisive day to claim women's rights, demand real and effective equality, and deal with speeches, attitudes and stances against human rights. These two dates are also a unique opportunity to give visibility to female talent, to recognize the transformative role of women in the field of new technologies and to promote their presence in the STEAM sectors (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics). This year, from the Xarxa Punt TIC, we want to prepare a collection of programmed activities with the aim of promoting scientific and technological vocations and vindicating women's rights.

In this sense, the Punt TIC can send their activities to oficina.tecnica@punttic.cat.
