Next Tuesday, November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women will be commemorated, a key day to show the rejection of the violence suffered by girls, adolescents, young people and women around the world and to demonstrate the need to address them and respond in a clear, direct and effective way with the aim of completely eradicating them. Within the Xarxa Punt TIC, many activities and events are scheduled throughout the year to highlight women and their transformative role in the field of information and communication technologies, as well as their key presence in the STEM sectors (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). This year, the Xarxa Punt TIC wants to develop a collection of activities with the aim of claiming women's rights and demanding an end to violence.

For now, this is the collection of activities programmed within the Xarxa Punt TIC:

- 01/11/25 - 30/11/25. Punt Òmnia Camins Fundació

This November, the Punt TIC will dedicate a significant part of its time to raising awareness, giving voice and promoting a fairer, safer and freer society for women. Specifically, in the 'Image and Video' training, posters and awareness-raising materials will be created, in the health space, violence in the health sector against women will be reflected on, in the youth groups, digital sexist violence will be worked on, in the spreadsheet group, news, data and comparisons will be sought, in the ICT reception group, videos and documentaries will be watched, in the elderly group, digital self-defense will be worked on, in the film forum, the film 'El caso Miranda' will be enjoyed and, in the SOC group, sexist violence in the workplace will be discussed.

- 01/11/25 - 30/11/25. Punt TIC del Centre Cívic Les Pedreres de Santa Oliva

The Punt TIC will program the activity 'Respect!' which will consist of the active search by young people for reggaeton artists who are respectful or empower women with their lyrics, with the aim of creating a playlist that will be shared with various entities in order to raise awareness of alternatives.

- 01/11/25 - 30/11/25. Punt Òmnia Casal Cívic Badalona Sant Roc

The Punt TIC will promote an awareness campaign. Within the framework of the 'Voices of Women' project, and in collaboration with other Punt TIC in the territory, entities and groups, publications, photographs, posters, infographics, music and other materials will be collected to demand an end to violence against women.

- 06/11/25 - 29/11/25. Sant Cugat del Vallès

The municipality will host several activities: the presentation of the new local protocol for the comprehensive approach to gender-based violence, the educational caravan on sexualities and emotions 'Sextruck', the talk 'Invisible Violence: when gender-based violence begins in what we don't see', the documentary 'Following the steps of Gabriela Mistral', the play 'More or Less' or the family day 'Let's say no to gender-based violence!'.

- 07/11/25 - 28/11/25. Biblioteques de les Terres de l'Ebre
(La Sénia, Camarles, Ulldecona, El Perelló, Roquetes, Benissanet, Sant Jaume d'Enveja, La Ràpita i L'Aldea)

From November 7 to 28, the Library Service of the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya in Terres de l'Ebre will hold the storytelling 'Daniela la pirata', for a children's audience, and the workshop 'Among Wolves', for a youth audience. The aim will be to promote co-education between children and young people in the area.

- 08/11/25 - 22/11/25. Punt Òmnia gòTIC Tàrrega

The Punt TIC, in collaboration with the Tàrrega City Council, will be promoting a digital defense workshop. The proposal will take place on November 8, 15 and 22, from 10 am to 1 pm, at the Punt Òmnia gòTIC Tàrrega facilities and will seek to create a space designed for women who want to strengthen their digital autonomy.

- 23/11/25 - 03/12/25. Capellades

The municipality will host several activities: the presentation of the documentary 'Bringing to light: The memory of the rapes', a banner workshop, a bag workshop, a discussion on violence, a mindfulness workshop, the presentation of the book 'Brave as you are' or the presentation of the children's project 'Amelia, Little Red Riding Hood'.

- 24/11/25. Fundació Ferrer i Guàrdia

On Monday, November 24, at 10 a.m., online, a space for reflection and dialogue on the impact of digital violence on women in rural environments will be promoted. The proposal will be part of a research project by the Fundació Ferrer i Guàrdia that analyzes how inequalities in the physical world are reproduced in the digital world, affecting the lives, security and rights of women. The preliminary results of the research project will also be presented and a discussion table will be opened with women experts in equality, gender and digital transformation.

- 25/11/25. Punt Òmnia del Raval - Colectic

The Punt TIC, in collaboration with the Taula de Dones del Raval, entities and groups, will reflect on women's well-being spaces on Tuesday 25 November, from 10.30 to 12 noon, at the Jardins de Sant Pau in Camp del Raval in Barcelona. The aim will be to highlight the everyday places where women meet, share and take care of themselves. The Punt Òmnia del Raval - Colectic will prepare two models of the neighbourhood to work on using pictograms and threads to create spaces that generate well-being, such as places to meet friends, have a coffee, play with children or do sports. There will also be a reading of the manifesto, which will revolve around four concepts (diverse, free, alive and together), a musical performance and the presentation of a project.

- 25/11/25. Punt TIC de la Biblioteca Delta de l'Ebre

The Punt TIC will host the reading of the manifesto by representatives of women's associations in the municipality and a round table with Rut Porres, lawyer, Thais Casanova, social educator and family therapist, Neus Subirats, gynecologist and member of the equality commission of the Institut Català de la Salut, and Mireia Bertomeu, student.

- 27/11/25. Biblioteca Joan Coromines (El Masnou)

On Thursday, November 27, at 6:30 p.m., the library will host the presentation 'Everyone's Favorite Dead Girl' by Beatriz García Guirado, who will explain the case of Elizabeth Short, a twenty-two-year-old woman who appeared murdered in Los Angeles on January 15, 1947. García Guirado will unravel the macabre industry surrounding the case and unmask the sensationalist clichés and the cautionary tales that lie hidden.

- 13/12/25. Terrassa

The municipality will host the theatrical proposal 'Yes, Yes, Yes' and will invite reflection on the idea of ​​consent and self-consent and will explore the concept of satisfactory relationships with a moving look.
