Last July, the Famílies TIC blog was launched with the aim of helping families to encourage the critical use of information and communication technologies in the childhood, in the adolescence and in the youth. Along these lines, a new resource has recently been added to the blog: the guide 'Despantalla'm, guide for raising without screens from 0 to 3 years' of the Som Connexió cooperative.

The new resource, which is within the scope of 'support for families', is a guide produced by the Som Connexió telecommunications cooperative to raise awareness among families and caregivers of the negative impacts of technology during early childhood, from 0 to 3 years. The new resource focuses on the first three years of a child's life, a decisive stage in the development of their physical, psychosocial and cognitive abilities. During these years, the foundations are created, the basis on which the child's future abilities will be developed and sustained. In a simple, clear and understandable way, strategies are offered to put into practice during the parenting stage around the needs of the creatures, the answers to the needs of the creatures, the responsive attitude of fathers, mothers and carers, the use of screens as a babysitter or as a soother and the importance of setting an example and being aware of the risks of exposure to screens, among many others.

Currently, the Famílies TIC blog has twelve resources distributed in four areas: prevention and awareness, support for families, screen addictions and cybersecurity. During the coming months and on a regular basis, it is planned to enrich the Famílies TIC blog with new resources.
