This new regulation of the ACTIC presents some important novelties:
- To guarantee adaptation to a reality as dynamic as that of ICT and the digital society, the areas of competences in information and communication technologies, the definition of competences, as well as the specification of the competencies that are accredited in each level will not be included in the Decree but will be regulated by order, to streamline the system for reviewing the structure and content of the competencies.
- The minimum age of 16 years to obtain the ACTIC certificate is abolished.
- People interested in obtaining the ACTIC have the obligation to interact with the Administration through electronic means
The ACTIC is structured in three levels: level 1 or basic, level 2 or medium and level 3 or advanced. Being in possession of the ACTIC certificates may be valued as a merit or established as a requirement for participation in the competitions to the Generalitat of Catalonia.
