The Universitat Politècnica de Barcelona and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona energize the Catalan classification phase of the second edition of the Telecos Olympiad. This year, the challenge is to develop a project that relates telecommunications to Sustainable Development Goal 3 Health and Well-Being. The call is aimed at students in second, third and fourth year of ESO, first and second year of Baccalaureate and training cycles. Interested people can participate individually (first and second year high school students) or in groups in teams of two to six people (second, third and fourth year high school students, first and second year high school students and training cycles ). The request is to present and defend a prototype, based on any programmable platform with the Arduino IDE, that shows the fulfillment of the challenge. People with no Arduino experience can sign up for workshops and courses for free.

In this sense, the participants can choose according to their proximity between three university centers: the EETAC-UPC in Castelldefels, the ETSETB-UPC in Barcelona and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in Cerdanyola del Vallès. Once the Catalan qualifying phase has been completed, the final phase will be accessed, where there will be prizes for the first three positions in the different categories planned for the competition.

Those interested can register until next Thursday, November 30.
