Promoted by the Taula d'Entitats del Tercer Sector Social de Catalunya , the m4Social initiative will celebrate its first ten years of life. The event will take place next Thursday, November 12, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., at the Barcelona Activa Auditorium, located at Llacuna Street, number 162, in the city of Barcelona. The day will combine a festive and reflective nature, with the aim of reviewing the emergence of the m4Social initiative and identifying the main challenges that link technology and the guarantee of social rights and fundamental rights. During the celebration, the evolution of digital challenges will be analyzed, the role of social entities in the construction of a fairer, more critical and more responsible technological model will be claimed, experiences and experiences will be shared and the new challenges of the future will be raised. Among others, the event will feature the participation of Gina Tost , a communicator and journalist specializing in video games and technology, Simona Levi , theater director, playwright, activist, technopolitical strategist, cultural and educational promoter, Miquel Estapé , director of the Open Administration Consortium of Catalonia, Laia Corbella , director of the Mobile World Capital Barcelona, or Sonia Fuertes , social action commissioner of the Barcelona City Council, and moderated by journalist Xantal Llavina . In this sense, the m4Social initiative aspires to consolidate itself as a key space for articulation, knowledge and action in the field of digital social innovation, strengthening dialogue between actors, connecting with international references and experiences and actively influencing public policies in the territory. In short, the digital social innovation project wants to continue promoting a digital transformation with values, taking advantage of the potential of technology without renouncing the principles of social justice, equity and guaranteeing human rights.
