The Secretariat for Digital Policies of the Department of Business and Employment of the Generalitat de Catalunya presents the twelfth edition of the DonaTIC Awards . The objective of these awards, which are part of the DonaTIC Plan of the Generalitat de Catalunya, is to highlight and recognize the role and talent of women in the professional, business and academic world of digital technologies, as well as offer new contemporary female role models, promote vocations in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and encourage the presence of women in technology and engineering studies. Along these lines, the DonaTIC 2026 Awards offer twelve distinctions , which are divided into eight categories grouped into three areas: the professional area, the academic and revelation area, and the area of dissemination and leading initiatives. Specifically, the DonaTIC Awards propose eight specific categories ( Entrepreneur , Businesswoman , Professional , Academic/Researcher , Disseminationist , DonaTIC Revelation , ICT Student and Reference Initiatives) and six subcategories (within ICT Student, there is University ICT Student , Vocational Training ICT Student , ICT Student for requalification and/or improvement of skills and Doctoral ICT Student and within Reference Initiatives, there is Business Reference Initiative and Entity, Training Centre or Institution Reference Initiative ). Similarly, the twelfth edition of the DonaTIC Awards proposes three special mentions linked to the areas of Cybersecurity, Aerospace and Digital Culture thanks to the collaboration of the DonaTIC Awards with the Cybersecurity Agency of Catalonia, the NewSpace Strategy of Catalonia and the General Directorate of Innovation and Digital Culture of the Generalitat of Catalonia.
As in previous editions, the categories and subcategories are exclusive, that is, a candidate can only be presented for one position. Similarly, candidacies can be proposed by the same female candidate or by any other natural person or legal entity. Once the deadline for submitting candidacies has closed, they will be evaluated by a jury made up of professionals linked to the technology sector and the academic, professional, institutional and associative world. Since its first edition, in 2015, the DonaTIC Awards have received a total of 865 candidacies, consolidating themselves as benchmark awards in the recognition and dissemination of the role and talent of women within the country's technology sector.
Until Wednesday, April 29, at 2 p.m., candidacies can be submitted at this online link .
