As part of the Col·laboratori de Valls initiative, the Punt Òmnia Valls - Vallsgenera is hosting a podcast on social and digital innovation. In the latest episode, David Gateu, host of the Punt Òmnia Valls - Vallsgenera, holds a conversation with Miquel Barceló, PhD in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and graduate in Economic Sciences from the University of Barcelona. "It has been a very stimulating conversation, where we have turned the obsolete concept of the fifteen-minute city around. Barceló proposes going further towards a compact and sustainable city based on proximity and a mix of uses: residence, work and leisure. This new vision seeks to foster innovation and creativity by linking people in diverse spaces and at the same time promoting talent," says David Gateu, host of the Punt TIC. "I like to highlight from the conversation the importance of projects, territorial alignment and clear leadership to achieve these development objectives. "I think the colloquium is interesting for delving deeper into how a territory can build and promote initiatives that give it real value," says Gateu.
The objective of the Punt Òmnia Valls - Vallsgenera podcast is to raise awareness of how social and digital innovation can be the path to finding solutions and responding to the challenges and opportunities that arise as a society. In this sense, short interviews are regularly conducted with various personalities who talk about their experiences and their experiences within the ICT field.
