The Punt TIC Centre d’Ocupació i Serveis a les Empreses - Centre Joan N. García Nieto, which is located at Carrer Francesc Layret number 15 in the Industrial Park El Plan in the town of Molins de Rei, started last November several 40 hours training courses aimed at unemployed women or working women preferably residing in municipalities with less than 30,000 inhabitants. The initiative is part of the Programa ADA of the Servei d’Ocupació de Catalunya which seeks to work on digital skills, eradicate the gender gap and promote scientific and technological vocations among women in the territory.

The courses have ten places, they are held face-to-face at the facilities of the Punt TIC Centre d’Ocupació i Serveis a les Empreses - Centre Joan N. García Nieto and will last until April. Currently, there are places available in two courses aimed at women with a certificate of disability: 'The computer and Internet management' and 'The use of social networks for socio-labor insertion'. Both proposals offer basic knowledge on the use of digital media, on the protection of personal information on the Internet and on the search for work on social networks. Pre-registration is open for three more courses for women: 'Computerized purchasing management', 'Fleet logistics and telematic systems' and 'Text editing and cybersecurity'.
