In 2024, it will begin with a new virtual meeting of the Xarxa Punt TIC. Directed exclusively to the community of the Xarxa Punt TIC, facilitators and managing entities, the online session will focus on the AINA Program, a research project that aims to provide Catalan with sufficient resources to enable citizens to lead a digital life in the Catalan language. So, the new virtual meeting of the Xarxa Punt TIC will take place next Thursday, January 25, from 10.30 to 11.30, and will have the participation of Joan Montané, a member of Softcatalà. During the online session, the distinctive features of the AINA Program will be made known and its operation will be explained, such as, for example, how to register, how to vote, how to validate voice, from which devices you can record and who can record, as well as answers to queries, questions or doubts. It will also discuss what CommonVoice is, who created it and who manages it, under what copyright conditions it is recorded, how and who can use it and what impact it has on Catalan-speaking territories, among others.

Specifically, the AINA Program aims to develop artificial intelligence resources and language technologies in order to provide Catalan with the necessary infrastructure to develop applications based on these technologies, guarantee the inclusion of the language Catalan to the applications of artificial intelligence and language technologies, promote the sector and ensure that citizens can participate in Catalan in the digital world at the same level as other languages in the world. Along these lines, the new virtual meeting of the Xarxa Punt TIC on the AINA Program wants to present the project with the intention of contributing collectively to growth, development and evolution.
