Funded by the European Union, a new acceleration program designed to boost exceptional deeptech startups led by women and bridge the innovation gap between regions has recently been launched. Specifically, the initiative, called 'SCALE'HER' , seeks to support around sixty companies based on significant scientific discoveries or engineering innovations that aspire to solve complex problems with high technological and R&D risk. As main requirements, companies must be based in the European Union and must be focused on growth, market validation and cross-border scaling. Thus, the new European acceleration program complements national accelerators and focuses on readiness for scalability, leadership and international market access. In this sense, the initiative combines accelerator activities, the mentoring program and learning modules, such as, for example, tailored acceleration activities, cluster-based practical sessions, information panels, online seminars or exposure to investment teams from across the territory.
In this sense, the six technological domains of the call are: health and life sciences, including female technologies and biotechnology; environment and sustainability, including energy, climate technology and green technology; digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, machine learning and quantum and advanced software; transport and mobility; engineering, advanced materials and space, and agricultural and food technology. In parallel, the selected companies will be automatically qualified for the initial round of the Blind Pitch Presentation Competition, which will allow the proposals to be presented in a structured assessment that considers commercial readiness, execution capacity and scalability potential.
Until next Sunday, May 31, applications can be submitted through this online link .
