From February 9 to 14, the Punt TIC Servei Municipal d'Ocupació , located at Narcís Xifra i Masmitjà Street, number 43, in the town of Girona, will once again promote a special program on the occasion of the Week of Women and Girls in Science. In this sense, within the framework of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which will be commemorated next Wednesday, February 11, Girona will host a week full of activities with the aim of debating, raising awareness and contributing to promoting equal access for women and girls to the STEM disciplines, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, encouraging full and effective participation of women and girls and making visible the work of women in technical fields. Specifically, at the Municipal Employment Service ICT Point, next Tuesday, February 10, from 5 to 7 p.m., there will be a talk to learn about the world of video games, a creative, technological and scientific sector in full expansion, where disciplines such as programming, art, narrative, music, psychology or artificial intelligence converge, with professional programmers and designers. Specifically, Gisela Vaquero, Laura Sánchez-Pascuala Gómez, Marta Menac Ayats and Sira Gordillo Palahí will participate. Within the special programming, there will also be engineering tastings, storytelling, audiovisual projections, cyanotype workshops, job orientation days, exhibitions, conferences and open days to claim the presence of women in the technical field.
