Currently, the Punt TIC Network has 348 points that work on digital training throughout the Catalan territory. Specifically, the program of the Secretariat of Digital Policies of the Generalitat de Catalunya has points that address digital gaps in all Catalan regions. In this sense, the main services of the Punt TIC Network are to become an open infrastructure point (56%) ; to offer digital support services (68%) , such as, for example, advice and support in digital procedures; to promote digital social innovation services (38%) , that is, community action, quadruple helix, work through challenges or participation, and to promote digital skills services (46%) , such as, for example, specialized training in STEAM.
The typology of these points is diverse , and is often classified according to the main activity of the managing entity of the ICT Point. Thus, there are 115 libraries, 113 omnibus points, 71 digital support centers, 14 civic centers, 14 youth information points and 7 training centers. In terms of intervention topics, the ICT Point Network brings together a wide range. The fight against digital gaps is the main line of work , promoted by 80% of the points. Also, work is being done on improving employability at 46% of the points and support in digital procedures at 44% of the points. Likewise, the search for job opportunities (34%), ACTIC advice (17%), digital social innovation (10%), cybersecurity (10%), the gender perspective within the technological field (7%), programming (7%), educational robotics (7%) and digital manufacturing (6%) are encouraged.
The Punt TIC Network is aimed at people of all ages . Consequently, the points program activities for children (60%), young people (69%), adults (83%) and the elderly (68%). The points are also aimed especially at groups, such as, for example, entrepreneurs, students, women, LGTBIAQ+, migrants, people in prison, people in unemployment, people at risk of social exclusion or with functional diversity. In short, the Punt TIC Network, promoted by the promoters, the managing entities, the general management and the technical and promotion office, is a living muscle, strong and rooted in the territory , which seeks to bring the digital world closer, promote and democratize it , and above all, leave no one behind.
