Last Thursday, May 21, the Punt TIC Network experienced the fifth virtual meeting of the year 2026. The new online session focused on promoting digital well-being and had around twenty participants, including Esther Subias, project manager of the digital divide shock plan at the Secretariat of Digital Policies , Alba Soler, innovation project manager at i2Cat , Ramon Oromí, facilitator of the Punt Òmnia gòTIC - Tàrrega City Council , and Núria Lloret, facilitator of the Punt TIC Can Muntanyola .

First, Esther Subias and Alba Soler spoke about the current context, the strategy of the Directorate General for Digital Economy and Society of the Generalitat of Catalonia and two initiatives. In this sense, Subias explained that the experience of carrying out the 'Més Digitals' training program throughout the Catalan territory and with a great diversity of people and realities has allowed us to reflect on digital well-being and explore the best ways to approach and care for it. In Catalonia, for example, especially in childhood and adolescence, the main lines do not defend the prohibition of technology, but rather support and critical thinking in order to protect children and families in the digital environment. Given this context, the 'Més Digitals' training program devised, developed and taught an online course on parental support in the digital environment, with the aim of promoting the role of families as guides and examples for their sons and daughters in safe, critical and responsible browsing on the net. Soler pointed out that over the past few months, more than 200 digital certificates for the online course have been issued and that the last edition, which is open to all citizens, has been scheduled for June 1 to 29. At the same time, Subias presented the 'Do a trick' initiative. The project promotes a network of local establishments committed to the digital well-being of children and adolescents. Specifically, commercial establishments allow minors to make emergency calls so that they can contact an adult reference person. The aim is to avoid premature dependence on mobile phones and delay access to the first telephone.

Ramon Oromí then shared several activities to promote digital well-being promoted by the Punt Òmnia gòTIC - Tàrrega City Council, such as talks, workshops, the podcast 'En veu alta' or the personal project 'Xerpejant'. Oromí, who was a finalist in the digital well-being category of the All Digital Awards, described digital well-being as a shared responsibility between technology, health, education and community and asked not to demonize digital technologies and to learn to coexist with them with meaning, balance and awareness. Oromí also spoke about his collaboration with the SIS - Open Center of Tàrrega, the Alba School or the Environmental Educational Plan of Tàrrega, where, together with institutions, health centers, educational centers and families, awareness-raising measures and actions are addressed, debated and agreed upon to accompany citizens in digital well-being. In particular, one of the agreed measures was the prohibition of the use of mobile phones in educational centers in the town of Tàrrega in the 2023-2024 academic year. Next, Núria Lloret shared different strategies for entrepreneurship and self-employed people in the era of connectivity promoted from the Punt TIC Can Muntanyola. Lloret emphasized the philosophy of digital social innovation and how, hand in hand with digital technologies, effective solutions to social challenges must be created, from identifying alternatives to large social networks to digital talent. Lloret also urged not to let the technology that saved businesses during the health emergency resulting from Covid-19 exhaust minds. Along these lines, Lloret spoke about the 'Toolkit' initiative with immediate resources for entrepreneurs and hybrid networking formats, the 'Digital Connectivity Calculator' proposal for professionals and highly digitalized people who want to reduce hours in front of screens and the 'Kit Kat Digital' podcast. The virtual meeting ended with an open round of questions, consultations, reflections and experiences.
