This November, the virtual meeting of the Xarxa Punt TIC will focus on digital sexist violence. The session, aimed exclusively at the Xarxa Punt TIC community, facilitators and management entities, will be held next Monday, November 20, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The virtual meeting will feature the participation of Thais Ruiz de Alda from DigitalFems, a non-profit organization that promotes the presence of women in technological environments, designing strategic plans and actions to generate inclusive policies, promoting scholarships and support programs for women technologists and preparing reports and data collection and analysis projects with a gender perspective. During the virtual meeting, Thais Ruiz will guide the Xarxa Punt TIC on how to identify digital sexist violence and will show self-defense strategies and digital resources, as well as talk about the role of institutions, digital platforms and col· schools After the presentation, there will be a space for questions and inquiries.

Currently, Thais Ruiz de Alda is the founder and executive director of DigitalFems, she organizes workshops, trainings and hackathons and collaborates as a mentor in various technological projects. Previously, Thais Ruiz developed her professional career as a technologist at companies such as Thoughtworks and initiatives such as the technopolitical citizen laboratory focused on technological sovereignty, privacy and digital social innovation LaT and the Center for Digital Autonomy, as well as leading the digital communication strategy of Barcelona City Council. Currently, Thais Ruiz is part of the Algorights community, as a member of its board of directors.
