The course aims at an introduction to the science of data and applications using a series of workshops on different themes, focusing on the analysis of data, such as finding information on the web, cryptography, climate change and music.
Also, is complemented by a tutoring session in which students learn first-hand experiences of engineers working in the field of science data in different companies and institutions.
The course is aimed at girls, and is part of the new Science degree in Mathematical Engineering Data.
Part of Campus Junior UPF, which aims to bring university students from third and fourth year of secondary education (ESO), first baccalaureate or intermediate training cycle, with a range of courses disciplines that combine teaching with practical, experimental and playful actions.
