The City Council of Terrassa , with the support of the Barcelona Provincial Council , will organize a hackathon aimed at co-creating practical solutions that help women become more competitive in the world of work. The event will take place next Tuesday, June 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the facilities of the Parc Audiovisual de Catalunya, located on the BV-1274 road, at kilometer 1, in the town of Terrassa. The initiative will propose developing, in a collaborative and creative way, a solution, such as, for example, a tool, a digital resource, an application, a website or a methodology, of simple use, easy implementation and agile application in real environments of job insertion, guidance or human resources. The aim is to break the glass ceiling and create a gamified solution to promote the presence and competitiveness of women in the labor market. Aimed at women linked to the fields of selection and human resources, employment, gender equality or technology, the six-hour dynamic will propose working in teams made up of people from different professional branches. The teams will start with an initial challenge and will go through ideation, conceptualization and prototyping phases. During the process, the teams will have the support of specialized mentors who will help shape, coherence and viability of the proposals. Finally, the teams will have to present the prototypes to the rest of the participating women and a professional jury. In this sense, the professional jury will assess creativity and innovation, the real impact on the gender gap, the user experience and gamification, technical feasibility and economic viability, and applicability and scalability.
