Next Thursday, November 20, from 12 to 2 p.m., the audiovisual collective Dones Visuals and the University of Barcelona will present a study on violence and inequalities within the Catalan audiovisual industry.
With the aim of promoting an intersectional gender perspective in the Catalan audiovisual sector, the audiovisual collective Dones Visuals and the University of Barcelona will present a study on violence and inequalities. The event will take place next Thursday, November 20, from 12 to 2 p.m., in the auditorium of the Faculty of Information and Audiovisual Media of the University of Barcelona, located at Melcior de Palau Street, number 140, in the city of Barcelona. Specifically, the diagnosis arises from the need to analyze violence and inequalities in the Catalan audiovisual sector and to demonstrate that violence and inequalities within the Catalan audiovisual industry are not specific phenomena, but structural and persistent dynamics that affect women and racialized, LGBTIQA+ and disabled dissident gender identities in a transversal manner. The event will feature the participation of the authors of the study and various institutional personalities representing the Department of Equality and Feminism, the Catalan Institute for Women, the Catalan Institute for Cultural Companies and the Barcelona City Council, among many others.
