This February, the new virtual meeting of the Xarxa Punt TIC will be part of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which was commemorated on February 11, and Women's Day, which will be commemorated on March 8. So, the new online session will take place next Tuesday, February 20, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Directed exclusively to the community of the Xarxa Punt TIC, facilitators and managing entities, at the new virtual meeting of the Xarxa Punt TIC, three exciting projects will be presented.
Initially, Mercè Fort del Punt TIC Smartcentre de Santa Bàrbara will talk about 'Necesser TIC', an initiative that wants to help break schemes, prejudices and gender stereotypes, especially in the field of new technologies, and give visibility to relevant women. Then, Anna Planells and Ariadna Micó from the Punt TIC Servei Municipal d’Ocupació de Girona will talk about the Week of Women and Girls in Science, which has more than a dozen activities for to make visible the local talent of women in the field of science and technology and to promote technological vocations. Next, Diana Perdomo and Albert González will talk about 'V-Tools', a digital social innovation project that works on sexist violence through virtual reality. Finally, a space for conversation and sharing of ideas will be created between the people participating in the new virtual meeting of the Xarxa Punt TIC with the intention of replicating and co-organizing activities.
