On the fourth Thursday of April, the International Day of Girls in ICT is celebrated annually. This 2024, the anniversary will be commemorated next Thursday, April 25. The day will seek to encourage technological vocations among girls in the territory, eradicate the gender gap and give visibility to new leading women. Specifically, April 21, 2011 was the first time that the International Day of Girls in ICT was celebrated at the initiative of the International Telecommunication Union, a specialized body of the United Nations. Since then, organizations, entities and collectives organize multiple proposals, activities and workshops.

From the Xarxa Punt TIC, we are working on a new awareness campaign, which will have the participation of some of the women awarded during the last edition of the DonaTIC Awards. In the coming weeks, you will be able to learn more about their trajectories, their goals and their benchmarks.
