Within the framework of the new edition of the Smart City Expo World Congress and as part of the DonaTIC Plan, the Secretariat for Digital Policies of the Generalitat de Catalunya will promote two days to strengthen, make visible and connect female talent in the field of information and communication technologies. The two sessions will seek to promote spaces for participation, reflection, knowledge and connection around women's leadership in the digital field. Specifically, the first session will be on Tuesday, November 3 and will feature the presentation 'Glass ceilings in women in the ICT sector' by Karina Gibert and the presentation of a postgraduate thesis on the 'DonaTIC Community' by Carla Mercader , which will promote a space to reflect together on how to imagine an active, connected and participatory community. The second session will then be on Wednesday, November 4 and will consist of the experiential workshop 'Impulse DonaTIC: from challenge to opportunity' , which, using the Japanese technique of kintsugi and the metaphor 'Breaking to advance', will revolve around female entrepreneurship within the technology sector and will put on the table essential points such as internationalization and the market, financing and the public sector, positioning and differentiation, and talent and execution. Thus, the two sessions will be part of the new edition of the Smart City Expo World Congress, one of the most popular international events on urban innovation that seeks to connect administrations, companies and organizations to move cities forward towards a better future, and which expects nearly 27,000 people, nearly 1,100 exhibitors, nearly 1,000 cities, nearly 600 presentations and nearly 135 countries.
